Simon has worked extensively in the media industry for the past 17 years and has shot a wide range of award winning network programmes ranging from documentaries and factual, through drama and commercials, to news and sport. Recent credits include When Piers met Lord Sugar, Ramsay's Best Restaurant, The F-word, Grand Designs, Secret Millionaire, Bang Goes The Theory, The Fifa World Cup 2010 and The MTV European Music Awards. His expertise extends from single to multi-camera work, to helicopter aerial filming, to use of minicams.

In January 2003 he was awarded a commendation for camera work by the Royal Television Society.

Working across many genres and for a plethora of industry giants and independent companies he has gained experience, skills and a reputation as a first class camera operator, camera supervisor and director of photography.

He established Smashing Glass Television in 1998 to provide filming requirements to the media industry. The company has grown from strength to strength and today provides up-to-date skills, equipment and knowledge to shoot on a range of formats on programmes at home and abroad.
